The following note was sent to me by a longtime friend and fan of the band, Mr. Michael Wright.  Mike owned a store called Guitars on Broadway here in Denver for many years, and is known and respected widely in Colorado and beyond.  Michael has since relocated to Texas, but stays in touch with us.  We had weekly rehearsals in Mike’s store, and always loved the fact that he would stay and hang out with us.  Mike was kinda the “Fifth Beatle” in the band, because we respected his opinion so much, and we would often discuss business and other issues with him.  This note from him was totally unexpected, and made me cry when I read it.  Mikey, we love you, and indeed, all of you that support the EBB in so many ways to help us get to where we want to go.  Thank you all so very much!!

Most Sincerely,

Erica

Erica,

I just re-read the article in Blueswax, BluesWaxSittin' In With Erica Brown, and it always brings tears to my eyes. I am so proud to know you and know that people like Bob Margolin has the same respect and awe of you. I loved your voice and recognized your abilities the first time I saw you perform. The thing in the article that really tears me up is your recognition of “the boys” as you call them. I’ve known Jim and Scotty for 20+ years and applauded their talents but together with Rich and you started to see the potential for a great thing. When the band started rehearsing at the store I was beside myself. I couldn’t believe I was in the presence of some of the best musicians and people I’d ever been around. Although I should have closed the store a year earlier and tried to save myself from going bankrupt I couldn’t do it. I don’t regret a minute of it because the experience was worth more than money. I played poker on the computer while you guys rehearsed to keep my heart from jumping out of my chest.

That being said, I want give thanks to all of you, Jim, Scotty, Rich, and you for the wonderful moments of joy I experienced as I listened to the music and for the times you let me voice my opinion and share my thoughts with you.

As always, I wish you the best and forever a fan.

Michael
